E Trade 2

BEFORE THE PROJECT
Prior to attending RSTO, the company had a basic brochure site that promoted the service but did not ‘transact’ with customers over the Internet. Blue Wheels wanted to develop the site to measure the level of customer demand that could be sourced directly from the web.

DURING THE PROJECT
The entire website was re-designed to include an online booking service. The company’s move towards e-trading came from a desire for greater flexibility and more control over their customer-facing identity; the Trade Online Project impartially led the managers through the many online trading options and it was decided that an interactive quoting form built in ShopCreator would efficiently capture the required new business.

The Project design module helped formulate a simple and clean homepage that contained the two input fields of ‘country’ and ‘location’ that once filled in quickly take the customer to a vehicle selection page and quoting form.

Simplicity is the key to the site and time and time again the Project structure helped focus on transactional functionality and ease of selection / form filling to get customers to a car rental booking.

The overall simplicity does not take away from the powerful functionality and customer engagement on the site as you will see on the next page.
