BEFORE THE PROJECT
Office Personnel already had a basic web presence but they
did not have the ability to update content so it had become
dated. Recruitment sites had moved forward in terms of
functionality and the company knew it was time to enhance
the site. In summary, Office Personnel needed a professionally
branded site that reflected the business well. The site also
needed to encourage interaction with control of the website
being a
major issue as this had been a restriction with previous
site development.
DURING THE PROJECT
Office Personnel had very clear objectives for their Project.
This, in part, was due to the number of competitive recruitment
websites that they could benchmark against.
A recruitment site is a very good example of how 'trading'
over the Internet is not always about shop catalogues and booking
forms.
In this case even content is part of the transaction as the
website is constantly refreshed with new jobs and new personnel
- in some senses this content is the product on offer.
During the Project, time was spent looking at the various web
publishing tools that would allow continual updating of job
and personnel information and Contribute was chosen as the
inhouse solution.
A professional look was key to capturing new customers but
to close the transaction a CV upload function and a Job Submission
function were also required. A low cost 'document upload' solution
was found to provide this functionality.
Office Personnel achieved a very professional site with strong
functionality at a very low cost because they took the time
to find the solutions available and chose what would work for
them.
A classic case of 'e-knows'; a client with different needs
achieving online trading simply and cost efficiently by attending
a Trade Online Project.
The next page has some images of the finished site.
