BEFORE THE COURSE Prior to their Trade Online Project Essential Lingerie had no website. The company had no online presence and “no technical knowledge whatsoever”. The intention was to open up a new revenue stream which was separate from the main shop. DURING THE COURSE An e-commerce site was designed from scratch. The impartial Project module on trading solutions led the company to choose Get Trolleyed as their online shopping catalogue / cart solution. The Project modules on design and content planned the various departments of the online shop and ensured all the product images and details were produced to fill the catalogue with products to sell. Essential Lingerie already had an offline credit-card processing terminal (PDQ machine) so during the e-payment module it was decided a secure-server would be used to collect credit and debit card information from online customers and safely pass the information over the internet to be processed by the company. Essential Lingerie found the course very helpful, not just in getting the site up and running, but in the knowledge of online trading which they gained while attending.
